Quarry Plant Operator (Fixed Plant)

Hirock Te Matai is looking for a reliable and motivated Fixed Plant Operator to join our quarry team.

No prior experience is required — we want someone with a can-do attitude that we can train and develop. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the quarrying and develop skills in the construction industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Removing timber from conveyor belts (wood picking)
• Supporting the operation of crushing and screening plant
• Monitoring material flow and reporting/repairing issues
• Carrying out general labouring and cleaning duties
• Keeping the plant area clean, tidy, and safe
• Work closely with supervisors and maintenance team to keep the plant productive

We’re looking for someone who is

• Reliable and punctual – shows up ready to work
• Strong work ethic and willing to learn
• Physically fit and keen to work in an outdoor environment
• Good awareness of safety and willingness to follow instructions
• Positive attitude and a team player

No Experience? No Problem
