Maintenance Engineer

We’re looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team, keeping our quarry plant and equipment running safely and reliably.

Location: Te Matai Quarry, Whakaronga Palmerston North

Skills & experience

• Trade-qualified fitter, fitter/welder, maintenance engineer (or similar experience in heavy industry/quarrying).
• Experience maintaining crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps and related fixed plant.
• Competent ARC and MIG welding.
• Gas cutting and grinding experience.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong safety focus and ability to follow site systems (e.g. permits to work, hot work, lock-out/tag-out).
• Willingness to comply with PPE requirements (overalls, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, steel cap boots).
• Full, clean NZ Class 1 driver licence (minimum).
• Physically fit and able to carry out hands-on maintenance work on quarry plant.
